Separate purchase completion from physical collection
Confirm with the seller when the vehicle may legitimately leave and who will release it. A buyer's payment instruction and a transport booking are different transactions. Do not ask the driver to decide whether funds have cleared, settle a purchase dispute or verify ownership from an incomplete message. Resolve the seller's release requirements before describing the car as available.
Tell SYA Rescue whether the seller is a business, private individual or another authorised custodian, and provide a reachable handover contact. If collection is restricted to an appointment, state that window. An advertised sale location may not be where the vehicle is stored, so verify the actual pickup before the movement is accepted.
Use the vehicle's collection condition instead of the advertisement
Ask the seller for the present movement condition, including whether it starts, rolls, steers and releases its brakes. A listing's wording can be incomplete or historical. Declare known missing keys, flat tyres, detached items or modifications. Where a fact is unconfirmed, identify the uncertainty rather than converting a seller's broad description into a guarantee.
Transport is not automatically a pre-purchase inspection. If you need a mechanical examination or independent assessment before completing the purchase, arrange that separately. A collection record can describe visible handover observations without establishing mechanical quality, title, mileage accuracy or the merits of the transaction.
Define the journey's boundary before asking for a price
Provide a specific pickup in Ashford, Kent and an accepting destination. Do not infer international transport, a port handover or a sea crossing from the town's location or from a nationwide service description. Any such requirement must be raised expressly and assessed as part of the proposed task, without assuming it can be accepted.
Extra collection stops, documents held elsewhere and loose goods can change the work. List the actual requested items and movements. A quotation based on one car between two addresses should not be stretched to cover an unmentioned chain of handovers.
Make delivery usable for the new keeper
Confirm who receives the vehicle, where it may be placed and how keys or agreed documents are handed over. The recipient should know the same condition described at collection. If the car is not ready for road use, successful transport does not make it roadworthy or resolve registration, insurance or other responsibilities of ownership.
If the seller delays release or the buyer changes destination, notify SYA Rescue and obtain agreement to the new arrangement. Keep purchase and transport communications clear so neither party assumes the other confirmed a change. The Ashford area page links to other local recovery requests.
